Polido is a musician and artist from Marinha Grande.
From a materialist approach to sound, Polido works across questions of cultural memory, tradition, 
sound technology, and junctures of music history and socio-politics. 
The music, bound together by a personal vocabulary, assembles surreal narratives for concrete spaces.
The work emerges in the form of concerts, mixes, performance, texts, talks, listening sessions or installation
for European contexts such as Batalha - Centro de Cinema, ICA London, 12th Berlin Biennale, MAAT, Sismógrafo, NTS Radio, Sonsbeek 20->24, Ruhr Ding, and Spirit Shop.

Polido runs the imprint Projecto de Vida, through which he organises evenings of music and conversation. 
His music has been published by the labels ANA, Holuzam, Bus Editions, Lynn, Left Alone, and c-.

Alongside this, he collaborates with fellow artists and filmmakers in sound post-production for film as sound designer and mixer 
and is currently a guest lecturer at UCP School of Arts, Porto.
